  1. Duplicate this template into your workspace (top-right ••• → Duplicate).
  2. Look at the Dashboard first — it already works, using the sample data below.
  3. Walk through "How It Works" once with the sample data (5 minutes).
  4. Delete the sample rows (each database has a "Sample Data" view that selects them all).
  5. Add your first real client and use it daily. Everything in this template is self-contained: no external pages, no automations to set up, no other template required. </aside>

How It Works

A lead comes in → log it in Jobs as Lead → send a quote and move it to Quoted → agree the price, move to Contracted and set the Deadline → do the work (Working) → when finished, move to Completed: the job now appears in Finished — Not Invoiced until you create its invoice → create the invoice in Invoices and link it to the job → record each payment in Payments as it lands → when the invoice is fully paid, mark it Paid. Leads, quotes and contracts are stages of one job row, not separate lists — that is what makes sure nothing falls between the cracks. Invoice due dates: set Due Date 14 days after Issue Date. 'Overdue' is calculated automatically from the due date — you never set it by hand.
